Using a Computer as a Clinical
Materials Generator (CCC#3)
This competency requires the clinician to make use of computer resources to
develop individualized treatment materials with or without the client's
assistance. There are templates and resource libraries for clinicians with
novice-level computer skills, that result in professional looking materials
with minimal time investment. Clinicians with more expertise and resources
may develop their own libraries of images, sounds, or video clips for use
with clients. Most clinicians find this way of using a computer to be
creative and rewarding. This competency is an excellent place to start for
someone beginning a personal development plan to work on clinical computing
competency.
